What's the difference between sheep and goats? Tract: ch28 Difference between sheep and goats? This tract outlines the differences and contrasts between a true Christian (Sheep) from a false Christian (goat). Sections:
Goats eat Trash
Goats are arrogant
Goats are aggressive
Goats constantly jump the fence
Goats are always in a bad moodThere are Christians who do not feed themselves well spiritually speaking. In place of going to a good church with healthy spiritual food, these will feed themselves on anything, but mostly trash. ... The nature of goats is that they like to exalt themselves. It is a classic sight to see a goat with his head high in the air, while sheep have they head bent down feeding....(Goats) are always going head-to-head with everyone, especially with each other, and with any who crosses them... Sheep naturally have a loyalty to a good man of God who faithfully feeds them from the goodness of the Word of God. ... Perhaps the worse mark of a goat is simple his attitude. He is never satisfied with anything. ... The mark of the children of God is their cooperation among themselves, and their spiritual and emotional support for the lives one of another, and their aversion to complaining and conflict within the family of God. They put up with things and take personal loss to keep the peace.

ch34 Brethren, we must not fight! explains why Christians should not be contentious, especially between brethren.
Topics: Because it is important? | Irritating one another | Biting and wasting away | The Relationship Between One Another | Upholding one another and putting up with one another | Forgiving one another | Exhorting and teaching you | Cheer up and build yourselves.
Except from the Tract: The Bible speaks of a Christian as a person who has a different personality. This person who is saved is someone who seeks to impose brotherly love in his life, in that he loves his brethren. This is a change from the carnal life he was in before he was saved, “living in malice and envy, loathsome, and hating one another.” (Titus 3:3)... Perhaps it is not very obvious why brethren should not fight, but God hates brethren when they are fighting. First, we have to understand that God in his essence is love. Aggression, friction, strife, and fighting are things that God opposes.

PC17 Vulgar and Foul-mouthed examines the person who cusses or curses, speak aggressively and ill towards other people in the light of the Bible.
Topics: Works are not a Criteria for Salvation | What is cursing? | Vulgar Words, and God | Wishing evil to fall on others | The Exemplary Life of a Child of God.
Excerpt: James 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
An evil, unconverted and unsaved man can have his mouth very attuned to cursing, lying, and attacking others. But a child of God will never let words of this nature of character “slip out” out of his/her mouth (nor think them in his mind or heart).

Missionary on Furlough Spiritual Needs is an article by David Cox (veteran missionary) to help pastors and missionaries understand missionary needs.
Excerpt: When a pastor "takes in a missionary on deputation or furlough", he ministers to that missionary.... Pastors also need this encouragement as much as missionaries need it. When they get together to fellowship, they are able to encourage one another. But every pastor ministering to a returning missionary should encourage them along these lines of faithfulness and reward in eternity.
Topics: Introduction | Unfit Missionaries that should not be missionaries at all | Stop the Merry-go-round, I want to get off | Some Tips for Pastors Encouraging Missionaries | 1. Do not undermine their way of leading or doing the ministry | 2. The two essential elements are talk and prayer. | 3. Get more than just the pastor involved in praying for the missionary. | Remind your missionary by asking for an update if it has been a while. | Effectively disseminate prayer requests.

Cowboys versus Shepherds CH51 Cowboys versus Shepherds
Read thistract by Pastor Cox contrasting pastors that think they are cowboys, versus pastors that think they are shepherds of God's flock
In this tract Pastor Cox explains the difference in leadership style in the two ways of thinking. This tracts defines the difference in leadership styles, the good and the bad, within the work of God.
Sections:
The Difference is in the Leaderhsip Style
The Motive: Love of God, or Love of One's Self
How to Move and Motive Animals
How to Relate to Sheep
--Cowboy - Indifference
--Shepherd - Love
The Difference is also in the Nature of the Animals.
Sheep are loyal to their Pastor
Messenger Worship
Have you ever wondered why God used the illustration of a shepherd, rather than that of a cowboy? The reason lies in their differences. Their way of dealing with the animals is distinct. They reflect character differences that God wants to teach us. Lordship is an issue in leadership, and shepherds are humble examples rather than high exalted lords (like cowboys sitting high on tall horses). Shepherds are examples that cause a following. Cowboys push, prode, hurt, and only through that get anything done.
