ch87 The Remnant of the People of God explains why "big" churches that boast of their numbers are not as God's Word dictates to Christians.

Sections: What is biblical preaching? | Wholesome Doctrine | Good Doctrine produces Piety | Bad doctrine and preaching | Strong Reproof | Preaching to Entertain | Beneficial Preaching Excerpt: We cannot identify “good preaching” if we do not understand the purpose and vocation of the preacher... The very words of God are to be explained such that the will of God is understood by repeating these words, explaining them, and insisting on them as our obligation. The lack of use of explicit (read aloud, exposit, and illustrate) Scripture makes for bad preaching... It is understood that the majority of people hearing a sermon do not want to be rebuked, but this is exactly what “good preaching” does.
ch39 What should we preach? Sermon Topics This tract outlines what is the difference between "good preaching" and "bad preaching" from scriptural texts so that we have the authority of God on it.

evc05 A Young Earth: There is not enough Time for Evolution explains why our earth is young, and evolutionists are wrong.
Topics: What do Christian scientists believe? | The Law of Uniformity | The Laws of Physics | Rapid Erosion | The Fossils | The Decay of the Magnetic Field | The Accumulations of Millions of Years | DNA and Mystery | Carbon 14 | Why does this problem exist?
From the Tract: Evolutionists use the Law of Uniformity that everything happening in our world is uniform as a basis to make their calculations. If a river removes one centimeter of stone every 10 years, then they measure how many centimeters there are uncovered and calculate the time that has passed in this erosion. What they do not consider is the possibility of natural disasters such as the explosion of Mount Saint Helens in Washington. We saw “live” within hours the erosion that was supposed to take millions of years to happen. This reveals the error of the principle of uniformity because it cannot be assumed that everything remains “uniform” for all ages, that natural events of a dramatic nature happen. Missionary on Furlough Spiritual Needs is an article by David Cox (veteran missionary) to help pastors and missionaries understand missionary needs.
Excerpt: When a pastor "takes in a missionary on deputation or furlough", he ministers to that missionary.... Pastors also need this encouragement as much as missionaries need it. When they get together to fellowship, they are able to encourage one another. But every pastor ministering to a returning missionary should encourage them along these lines of faithfulness and reward in eternity.
Topics: Introduction | Unfit Missionaries that should not be missionaries at all | Stop the Merry-go-round, I want to get off | Some Tips for Pastors Encouraging Missionaries | 1. Do not undermine their way of leading or doing the ministry | 2. The two essential elements are talk and prayer. | 3. Get more than just the pastor involved in praying for the missionary. | Remind your missionary by asking for an update if it has been a while. | Effectively disseminate prayer requests.

ev02 Created or Evolved? A Refutation of Evolution We look at why evolution is not science, but a misplaced faith.
Topics: Evolution violates the First Law of Thermodynamics (the law of Conservation of Energy). | Evolution violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics (dissipation of energy). | The Law of Bio-Genesis where life can only come from some other pre-existent life, thus only perpetuating its own type. | There is no evidence in the fossil registry that supports evolution. | The fossil registry has failed to document even a single “missing link” that would verify beyond doubt the link between ape and man. Java Man-Ape, Piltdown | Evolution fails to explain the existence of even a “simple cell.”

Cult Exit: Problems, Detention, and How-Tos by Pastor David Cox. In this article, I explain how to identify a cult through the difficulty in leaving it.
Excerpt: One of the clearest elements identifying a cult is simply what happens when somebody wants "out." A biblical church will see a person leaving because the group doesn't meet their needs, doesn't serve them, or doesn't meet their biblical expectations as a tragedy and failure on the GROUP'S PART. Their attitude is first sadness in losing the person, but they want to correct what they have done wrong. (Note: This attitude will never appear without first accepting that they, the church, have somehow failed. Cults will rarely admit this of themselves, or never will they admit it. It takes a spiritually mature person to admit this.)A biblical church will simply ask questions like Where? How? Why? Where did we go wrong? How can we keep this from happening again? Why did we lose this person? A biblical church is more concerned about their own error in dealing with this member that retention.
