Job made a covenant with himself, a commitment that he would not look on young women to desire them or to let his imagination run wild with them even their image or in his thoughts. Equally, Jesus taught us in Mat. 5:28 that even thinking sinful thoughts without doing them is as sinful as actually doing them. This is an amplification of Exo 20:17 “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife”. David saw before taking (2Sam 11:2).
Fasting is to teach us that the body does not control over us, and this is exactly what is necessary for people with this problem. This sin is pinned to the thoughts, “for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” Pro 23:7. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” Phil 4:13.

From the Tract: Evolutionists use the Law of Uniformity that everything happening in our world is uniform as a basis to make their calculations. If a river removes one centimeter of stone every 10 years, then they measure how many centimeters there are uncovered and calculate the time that has passed in this erosion. What they do not consider is the possibility of natural disasters such as the explosion of Mount Saint Helens in Washington. We saw “live” within hours the erosion that was supposed to take millions of years to happen. This reveals the error of the principle of uniformity because it cannot be assumed that everything remains “uniform” for all ages, that natural events of a dramatic nature happen. Excerpts: In Mark 5.2-5 there is a demon possessed person who day and night “cut himself with rocks.” In Matthew 17:15 we also see another demon working which seeks to force the person to commit suicide. The desire to harm yourself is a force of darkness, not from God. But the solution then is only found in God, in His love for you, and in His salvation. We should cast our cares upon Him, “for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). By building a strong relationship with God we can get out of our problems. God will also give us strength and endurance through our problems. The only place of true happiness and joy is when one is in the will of God.

Problems with Total Depravity or Inability examines the flaws and errors of the Calvinist teaching of Total Depravity (which is really total inability, man is not responsible for his own actions and sins, because he cannot choose sin or obeying God). This is a short article about this point of Calvinism.
The argument of the Calvinists breaks down completely when we examine the Bible and find examples of various individuals that did please God with their lives. Calvinists says that there is nothing at all that any person can do to please God. Yet God views our lives, and in the Bible, certain people did please God like Noah. Maybe the difference was Noah’s life was "better" than everybody's else's wicked lives, but even from that standpoint, God still acted greatly because of Noah's faith and daily relationship with God. When God saves you and your family and kills everybody else on planet earth, that means something.
The bottom line: Calvinism does not take into consideration the places where God looked with approval on various people's lives. Their "system" is fatally flawed, therefore. Good works never save anybody, we can affirm this as true. But the "bottom line" here is that God does approve and disapprove different people's lives. Salvation is only by faith in Jesus Christ the Savior. But what you are depends on what you do. God judges every person, even the elect, and He rewards them as such. Things that God dislikes, God chastises those in hell, for the saved, God causes the elect to lose some of their heavenly rewards for their sins, if not also causing them problems in earth before they die.
